Sky-Watcher HEQ-5 Pro SynScan GoTo is a high-quality equatorial mount that turns telescopes into precision instruments for both visual observation and astrophotography. With a load capacity of 14 kg, this model is considerably more stable than the lighter EQ-5, making it ideally suited for medium to larger refractors and Newtons.

The mount is equipped with precise stepper motors and the computer-controlled SynScan GoTo System with a database of 42,900 celestial objects. After a simple polar alignment via the built-in polar finder, automatically find and track any object in the sky. For astrophotography, the mount features motors on both axes, with various tracking speeds (sidereal, moon, sun) and automatic positioning via 1-, 2- or 3-star alignment.

The stable steel tripod and included counterweights provide a low-vibration base, essential during long exposure times. In addition, the HEQ-5 Pro supports connection via PC and firmware updates, ensuring you always have the latest features.

Application
The Sky-Watcher HEQ-5 Pro SynScan GoTo is suitable for advanced observers and photographers who need a stable, accurate mount for telescopes up to about 200 mm aperture. For lighter setups it is oversized, while for really heavy OTAs (>15 kg) an EQ6-R or AZ-EQ6 is a better choice.
