Optolong Filters L-Pro Clip Sony Full Frame is a broadband light pollution filter that plugs directly into the body of Sony full-frame system cameras. Thanks to its clip-in design, you don't need any additional adapters or filter holders: the filter comes in between the sensor and your lens or telescope. This makes it the ideal solution for astrophotography with Sony A7 and A9 models.
The L-Pro filter allows important emission lines through - H-alpha, H-beta, O-III and S-II - while effectively suppressing interfering wavelength lines from sodium and mercury lamps, and natural sky glow (skyglow). This makes the sky background darker and deep-sky objects more visible in contrast. Whereas narrow-band filters often drastically alter the color balance, the L-Pro maintains a natural rendering. This makes this filter suitable for a wide range of objects: emission nebulae, reflection nebulae, galaxies and globular clusters.
This filter allows you to expose up to three times longer than without a filter without overexposing the sky background. The high-quality IBAD (ion beam assisted deposition) coating ensures high transmission, scratch resistance and color stability under temperature changes.
Application
The Optolong Filters L-Pro Clip Sony Full Frame is designed for astrophotographers working with a Sony full-frame camera and dealing with light pollution. Ideal for urban and suburban locations. Expect marked improvements on objects such as the Andromeda Nebula, Orion Nebula, Lagoon Nebula and globular clusters. Not suitable as a solar filter and intended for photography only.
