Optolong L-eNhance APS-C EOS Clip Filter

Optolong Filters L-eNhance APS-C EOS Clip is a dual-band filter designed specifically for astrophotography with DSLRs and color cameras in light-polluted areas. The filter allows almost only the emission lines H-alpha, H-beta and OIII to pass through. This makes emission and planetary nebulae powerfully visible against a dark sky background, while blocking interfering artificial light from sodium and mercury vapor lamps.

This selective transmission preserves the natural colors of nebulae and allows you to capture images close to the quality of monochrome cameras with narrowband filters. Reflection nebulae and galaxies are outside the optimal range of this filter, but emission nebulae such as Orion or the Veil Nebula benefit maximally.

The filter consists of high-quality Schott glass and features a multiple IBAD (ion beam assisted deposition) coating. This ensures high transmission (up to 90%), scratch resistance and stability during temperature changes. The clip mount makes it easy to fit into the body of Canon EOS APS-C cameras, without the need for additional adapters.

Application
The Optolong L-eNhance APS-C EOS Clip is ideal for astrophotography of emission nebulae, planetary nebulae and supernova remnants, even in urban conditions with high light pollution. The filter is primarily intended for photography; visual use is limited. Do not use as a solar filter.
