Optolong CLS Clip Canon EOS Full Frame

The Optolong CLS Clip Filter Canon EOS Full Frame (City Light Suppression) is designed to make deep-sky objects more visible from light-polluted areas. This filter is inserted directly into the camera body and blocks the main light pollution sources, such as mercury and sodium vapor lamps and the natural skyglow effect. This creates a darker sky background, making nebulae, galaxies and star clusters stand out more clearly.

The CLS filter simultaneously allows the emission lines of nebulae to pass through - including OIII (496/500 nm), H-beta (486 nm), NII (654/658 nm), H-alpha (656 nm) and SII (672 nm). This increases contrast and makes more details visible in emission nebulae, planetary nebulae and supernova remnants. Thanks to its wider pass range, the CLS filter is particularly suitable for lightly to moderately polluted skies and works well with unmodified DSLRs and CCD color cameras.

Compatibility
This clip filter is suitable for Canon EOS full-frame models only EOS 6D, EOS 5D, EOS 5D II and EOS 5D III. Newer models such as the EOS 6D II and EOS 5D IV are not compatible: in those cameras, the filter blocks the movement of the mirror and causes interference.
