Unlike standard laser collimators that can give backlash in the focuser, Hotech uses a patented SCA (Self-Centering Adapter). This ensures that the laser is always exactly centered, without screws or rattling fit. This prevents tilt, and thus misalignment.

What makes this version extra special is the integrated 45° directional screen on the back. This allows you as a solo observer to perform collimation on your own: while working on the back of your telescope, you look directly at the screen and see exactly where the laser returns to the main mirror. The laser point is displayed on a fine engraved target, which makes centering fast and intuitive.
