Celestron Luminos 31 mm Eyepiece 2″ is the widest eyepiece within the Luminos series and offers you a spectacular overview of the night sky. Thanks to its 31 mm focal length and 82° field of view, you get an exceptionally wide field of view, ideal for surveying vast deep-sky objects and entire star fields at once.
The fully multi-coated lenses and six-part optical design ensure clarity and contrast, while the adjustable eyecup lets you observe comfortably - even with glasses. The housing made of polished, anodized aluminum makes the eyepiece not only durable and scratch-resistant, but also pleasant to use.
Like all models in the Luminos series, this eyepiece is parfocal, so you can change focus without having to refocus each time. This makes it particularly suitable for long observing sessions where you combine different magnifications.
Application
The 31 mm eyepiece is ideal for finding and observing large celestial objects. The Orion Nebula and the Andromeda Nebula fit fully into view, as do wide star clusters such as the Pleiades or the Double Cluster. It also makes following the Milky Way structures an impressive experience. The eyepiece is ideally suited for telescopes with a 2″ connection and offers the most value in telescopes with a large aperture.
