During clear nights, dew is one of the most common problems. Once the optics begin to fog up, contrast and sharpness immediately decrease and photography becomes virtually impossible. The included dew hood significantly reduces the risk of condensation and thus extends your effective observing time. At the same time, the dew hood shields disturbing stray light from the side, such as street lights or lighting from nearby buildings. This prevents contrast loss and unwanted reflections in your shots.

The spike masks add a creative as well as technically useful element to your astrophotography. By simply attaching the mask to the front of the DWARF3, you create characteristic diffraction spikes around bright stars. This effect, familiar from Newton telescopes, is created instantly while shooting and requires no post-processing. Ideal if you want to give your images more visual impact without additional software steps.
