The ZWO ASI462MM Mono is an ultra-sensitive black-and-white camera for planet, moon and solar photography, equipped with the Sony IMX462 sensor. With its excellent IR sensitivity, low readout noise and 136 fps at full resolution, this is a perfect camera for fast luminance shooting and stacking.
With a quantum efficiency of up to 89%, a minimum readout noise of 0.47 e- and a full well capacity of 11,200 e-, the ASI462MM offers an optimal signal-to-noise ratio. Ideal for those who want to extract maximum details from Jupiter, Saturn or moon craters - and also usable as a compact guiding camera.
Key features
- Sony IMX462 sensor (2.1 MP) - 2.9 µm pixels, 1936 × 1096 resolution
- QE to 89% - excellent IR sensitivity for infrared recordings
- Readout noise as low as 0.47 e-. - extremely low for sharp details
- Images per second - Up to 136 fps at full resolution
- No active cooling - compact, fast and immediately deployable
- ST-4 interface - usable as an autoguider
Applications
✓ Planets such as Jupiter, Saturn, Mars - fast IR luminance stacking
✓ Moon and sun shots with high detail (use solar filter!)
