The Skywatcher AZ Mount Solarquest is perfect for anyone who wants to safely and easily observe the sun. You put it on a stable camera tripod and let it do the work. With the push of a button, it automatically locates and tracks the sun while you observe. That way, you won't miss a single detail of sunspots, eclipses or planetary transits.

Smart technology for accuracy

Thanks to HelioFind™ technology, the mount calculates with GPS and time exactly where the sun is. The telescope automatically adjusts to the correct altitude and rotates clockwise to follow the sun. The sun sensor keeps the object in view at all times. This makes observation easy even if you don't have much experience.

Quiet, light and portable

The Solarquest is compact and easy to carry. It moves quietly, so you won't see vibrations during your observations. It runs on batteries, but you can also connect a 12V DC power supply. So you can use it anywhere, at home or on location.

Safe and versatile

Combine the mount with a small refractor and solar filters to view the sun in white light. For H-alpha or calcium H light, use the appropriate DayStar QUARK filters. This way you can always see active details on the sun's surface. The AZ Mount forms a modular system that is easy to adapt to your observing needs.
