Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro SynScan GoTo is the further development of the legendary EQ6 and is considered one of the most popular mounts among serious astrophotographers. With a carrying capacity of 20 kg it provides sufficient stability for large Newtons, APO refractors and complete photography setups with guide scopes and cameras.

The updated design features a belt drive, which makes the mount exhibit virtually no backlash and tracks objects extremely smoothly and accurately. Thanks to the periodic error correction (PPEC). the drive needs to be adjusted less frequently, resulting in tighter deep-sky shots.

Pole height adjustment has been improved with robust screws and a larger adjustment range. Alignment can be done via the built-in pole finder or the SynScan software. With the included manual control, you choose from a database of 42,000 objects, which are automatically found and tracked. For astrophotography, there is a built-in connection for DSLR shutter control and support for autoguiding.

Despite its power, the EQ6-R Pro is still relatively mobile. With a 17.3 kg mount head and built-in carrying handle, you can take it with you to dark observing locations, while the steel tripod with 51 mm legs offers maximum stability.
