The Omegon Solar Filter 150mm turns your telescope into a safe solar observation instrument in seconds. Fully pre-assembled in a robust plastic frame, this filter fits directly on telescopes with a tube diameter of 160-164 mm (outer diameter) or 168-172 mm (inner diameter). It is also suitable for Newton telescopes, thanks to the cutouts for capture mirror mounts.
The secret is in the original Baader AstroSolar Safety Film (ND5). It allows only 0.001% of sunlight to pass through and shows the sun in neutral white light. No unnatural yellow or orange glow, but a natural image in which details become razor-sharp. With this, you observe the sun safely and comfortably, whether you are watching or photographing.
Application
This solar filter allows you to see safely and in detail:
- Sunspots moving across the surface
- Bright flare fields and solar flares along the rim
- Fine granulation on the solar surface
- Spectacular solar eclipses in real time
- Taking pictures of sunspots and active areas
This filter is ideal for anyone who wants to get more out of their telescope and also observe during the day. Suitable for both beginners and advanced observers. Fits most 150 mm telescopes; if not, simply use some felt or foam to optimize the fit.
