Omegon Pro RC 406/3250 Telescope - Professional astrophotography at its best
The Omegon Pro RC 406/3250 is a Ritchey-Chrétien telescope for serious astrophotographers and observatories. It delivers a sharp image over a wide field of view, with no distortion or coma. Stars remain spot on all the way to the edge of your image, even at long exposures.
Hyperbolic mirrors, stable image
The quartz main and catch mirrors keep the focus stable even with temperature changes. Adjustment is hardly necessary. 92-94%'s reflective coating allows you to see bright, high-contrast stars and nebulae.

Lots of light, large field
With a 406 mm main mirror, you capture an enormous amount of light. This gives bright images of deep nebulae, galaxies and clusters. The RC design delivers sharpness all the way to the edge without the need for a corrector.
Fast cooling, minimal turbulence
The open carbon gitter tube design allows air to flow freely. This eliminates hot air layers in the tube and keeps your image stable. The built-in fan cools the main mirror up to 50% faster, so you'll be ready for perfect images faster.
Strong, accurate focuser
The 3″ Crayford focuser with ball bearings accommodates large CCD cameras. It is fully rotatable, accurately adjustable with 1:10 reduction and remains stable so your camera is always exactly on the optical axis. No tilting, no vignetting, just sharp images.

Better performance than SC telescopes
Without a corrector plate, there is no internal reflection and the telescope adjusts more quickly to the ambient temperature. RC telescopes are the best corrected two-mirror telescopes. Both in the center and at the edge of your image, everything remains razor sharp.
Suitable for professional hobby astronomers
RC telescopes used to be available only to institutions. Now you can achieve the same results as an advanced amateur with this technology: large CCD cameras, long exposures and bright, high-contrast images.
What we recommend
✓ Nebulae & galaxies: excellent
✓ Astrophotography: top quality
✗ Moon & Planets: not ideal because of long focal length
✗ Nature observation: not suitable
✗ Sun: only with special sun filters
