Omegon Dew Ribbon 120cm - Keep your optics clear all night
Fogged telescopes are frustrating. Eyepieces, lenses and Schmidt plates coat themselves with condensation. Your image becomes dull and details disappear. It doesn't have to. The Omegon dew tape keeps the condensation away. So your image stays sharp and clear, from the first star to the last deep-sky object.

Quick to use and perfect fit
Wrap the dew tape around your telescope, viewfinder or eyepiece. The flexible design always fits snugly. Velcro closure keeps the tape securely in place. Compact and convenient - you can start observing right away.

Heats smartly and economically
Connect the dew ribbon to a 12 V DC power source. It heats your optics just a few degrees above ambient temperature - just enough to prevent dew. It consumes little power, so your battery lasts longer.

Why it works
Condensation forms when your optics cool and moisture from the air hits them - just like glasses on a cold night. The dew tape keeps the temperature just a little higher, so water droplets don't form. While others are already packing up their telescopes, you can continue observing.

Practical details
The heating element is 20 mm wide and sits securely on the inside of the strap. The band itself is 44 mm wide, black on the outside and red inside, and made of sturdy cordura/nylon. The cable is 1 m long and connects with an RCA plug.
