Omegon Dew Ribbon 80cm - Always a clear image, even in high humidity
During nighttime observations, dew can quickly throw a spanner in the works. Eyepieces, lenses and corrector plates fog up, causing details to disappear and making observing impossible. The Omegon dew tape reliably keeps your optics dew-free, allowing you to continue observing all night with a clear, high-contrast image.

Easy to attach and ready to use immediately
You simply wrap the dew tape around the tube, corrector plate or eyepiece. The flexible band molds perfectly to the diameter of your optics and stays securely in place thanks to the sturdy Velcro closure. After the observation is over, you store the ribbon compactly in your accessory case.

Even and energy-efficient heating
The dew tape operates on 12 V DC and distributes heat evenly along its entire length. It maintains a few degrees above ambient temperature, just enough to prevent condensation. Thanks to its low power consumption, your battery will last a long time. Combined with a pulse controller, you can control the power even more efficiently.

Why dew formation occurs
When optical surfaces cool below the dew point, moisture from the air condenses on glass surfaces. This effect is familiar to anyone who has ever taken glasses from warm to cold. The Omegon dew tape prevents this cooling and keeps your optics clear, even in challenging conditions.

Robust and thoughtful design
The 20 mm wide heating element is safely incorporated on the inside of the belt. The total strap width is 44 mm. The outside is black, the inside red, and the whole is made of durable cordura/nylon for long-lasting use.
