Optolong Filters L-Pro Canon EOS R Clip is a broadband light pollution filter that plugs directly into the body of Canon EOS R system cameras. This clip-in design eliminates the need for additional adapters and leaves the use of your existing lenses or telescope setup unchanged.
The filter allows key emission lines to pass through, including H-alpha, H-beta, O-III, N-II and S-II, while effectively suppressing interfering light sources such as sodium and mercury lamps. This results in a darker sky background and more contrast in deep-sky objects. Compared to narrow-band filters, the L-Pro retains natural color reproduction, making photos look natural and suitable for a wide range of objects: from emission nebulae and reflection nebulae to galaxies and globular clusters.
The L-Pro clip filter allows you to expose up to three times longer than without a filter, meaning you can capture deeper details even from light-polluted environments such as urban areas. The high-quality IBAD (ion beam assisted deposition) coating provides extreme durability, scratch resistance and stability in temperature changes.
Application
This filter is ideal for astrophotographers who use a Canon EOS R camera and often shoot in or near cities. Expect marked improvements on objects such as the Orion Nebula, Andromeda galaxy, the Lagoon Nebula and globular clusters. The filter is not intended for visual use and should never be used as a solar filter.
