Omegon velox 462 C Camera - Professional astrophotography, directly from your telescope
Capture planets, the Moon and Sun in stunning detail. See the shadows of Jupiter's moons, the separations in Saturn's rings and mountains on the lunar surface. This camera also lets you photograph solar prominences with high resolution.
Lucky imaging for sharp images
The high refresh rate compensates for atmospheric turbulence. You use the region-of-interest function in the Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software for maximum speed. This allows you to photograph every small detail that would otherwise be lost.

Deep-sky astrophotography gets easier
The modern CMOS sensor is highly sensitive. Faint nebulae and galaxies become clearly visible. Low readout noise and high quantum efficiency provide bright, detail-rich images that cannot be seen with the naked eye.
Autoguiding without hassle
The camera also recognizes faint stars as guide stars. With PHD2 and ST4 port, you perform quick corrections and compensate for both large and small tracking errors. Your telescope effortlessly tracks your object.

Compact and versatile design
The robust aluminum body weighs only 90 g and fits any telescope via 1.25″ connection. Attach small CCTV lenses or astronomical filters via C- and CS-mount, or use the 1.25″ filter thread with adapter.
Control over light and colors
The camera has an infrared blocking filter so that colors are displayed correctly. Monocameras also transmit UV and IR light. So you set the transmission curve just the way you want it, essential for advanced photographic or photometric applications.
Compatible with many software
The Omegon Pro camera works with ASCOM and INDI interfaces and popular programs such as PHD2 and N.I.N.A. This allows you to control your camera directly from your computer.
What we recommend
✓ Moon and planets: ideal resolution and speed for details
✓ Nebulae and galaxies: high sensitivity to faint objects
✓ Autoguiding: precise corrections thanks to high sensor sensitivity
✗ Extreme long exposures with heavy filters: check compatibility
✗ Very large telescopes (>1.25″ connection without adapter): additional adapter required
