Omegon Pro RC 355/2845 Telescope - Professional astrophotography at your fingertips
The Omegon Pro RC 355/2845 is a Ritchey-Chrétien telescope designed for serious observatories and ambitious astrophotographers. It delivers an extremely sharp image over a wide field of view. That means stars and nebulae remain bright and spot-on all the way to the edge of your image, with no distortion.
Sharpness that remains
The hyperbolic quartz mirrors keep focus stable even during long exposures. That way you don't have to constantly adjust. With a reflectivity of 92-94%, you'll see high-contrast stars and deep nebulae like you've never seen before.

Bright and large field
With a 355 mm main mirror, you catch a lot of light. That gives bright images of galaxies, nebulae and clusters. Thanks to the RC design, you don't need a corrector. Everything stays sharp, from the center to the edge of the image.
Fast cooling, less turbulence
The open carbon gitter tube allows air to flow freely. This eliminates hot layers of air that blur your image. The built-in fan cools the main mirror up to 50% faster, so you can start observing or photographing faster.
Flexible and sturdy focuser
The 3″ Crayford focuser with ball bearings offers plenty of room for large CCD cameras. It is fully rotatable, accurately adjustable with 1:10 reduction and remains stable, so your camera is always exactly on the optical axis. No tilting, no vignetting, just perfect sharpness.

Better images than an SC telescope
No corrector plate means no internal reflections. The telescope heats up faster and transmits brighter light. RC telescopes are the standard in professional observatories - now available to you, too.
Ease of use in your observatory
Despite its professional design, the Omegon RC 355/2845 is surprisingly easy to handle. Light, rigid and thermally stable. Ideal for large cameras and long exposures.
What we recommend
✓ Nebulae & galaxies: excellent
✓ Astrophotography: top quality
✗ Moon & Planets: not ideal because of long focal length
✗ Nature observation: not suitable
✗ Sun: only with special sun filters
