Omegon Pro RC 355/2845 Telescope - Truss Carbon for professional astrophotography
The Omegon Pro RC 355/2845 combines large-format mirrors with near-perfect image reproduction. Two hyperbolic mirrors deliver a large, coma-free field of view. Stars remain sharp and round to the edge of your sensor. Ideal for observatories and advanced astrophotographers with large CCD or DSLR cameras.
Hyperbolic mirrors for razor-sharp images
The main and catch mirrors are hyperbolic, not spherical like Schmidt-Cassegrain mirrors. This gives a larger field of view and minimal distortion. Your stars remain sharp, even at the edges.

Quartz mirrors for stable focus
Both mirrors are made of thermally stable quartz. The focus remains constant even during long exposures. This prevents blur and loss of detail.
Fast thermal equilibrium
The honeycomb structure of the main mirror and open carbon-truss design allow the telescope to cool quickly. Powerful fans minimize tube seeding and prepare the optics for razor-sharp images faster.
3″ Linear Crayford focuser
Large sensors up to 60 mm fit without vignetting. The focuser is fully rotatable, with reduction to 2″ and 1.25″, 1:10 fine adjustment and scaling. Camera or eyepiece sits exactly on the optical axis with no tilting.

Carbon truss with open gitter design
Light, rigid and thermally stable. Open design prevents microclimates and promotes ventilation. Perfect for long exposures and professional use.
Better than an SC telescope
No corrector plate means no internal reflections and brighter images. RC telescopes adjust faster to ambient temperature and deliver superior contrast. Sharpness to the edge is guaranteed.
What we recommend
✓ Deep-sky: large, coma-free image - ideal for galaxies and nebulae
✓ Astrophotography: suitable for large CCD and DSLR sensors
✓ Moon & Planets: less suitable for large field
✗ Sun: not suitable without filters
✗ Beginners: not recommended
