Compact power for novice astronomers

The Sky-Watcher StarQuest DX130P is a compact Newton reflector with a large 130 mm aperture. It captures 30% more light than a 114 mm telescope. That means brighter images of stars, planets and deep nebulae. The f/5 design gives a wide field of view, ideal for open star clusters and large nebulae. Thanks to its short tube length, it is stable on smaller tripods, so vibrations disappear quickly.

Easy to use

The Starquest EQ mount makes tracking objects easy. Only one axis needs to be adjusted to compensate for the earth's rotation. This keeps your object in the eyepiece without constant adjustment. Major movements are simple: loosen the clamps and move the telescope manually.

Razor-sharp and reliable

The parabolic main mirror produces sharp and point-like stars. Faint deep-sky objects show up in high contrast. The telescope is lightweight and easy to carry. Within minutes it is ready for observation, so you can enjoy the night sky immediately.

What to expect

✓ Moon: craters and mountains clearly visible
✓ Planets: bright disks with contrast differences
✓ Deep-sky: nebulae and star clusters easy to see
✗ Astrophotography: not suitable
✗ Sun: only with safe sun filters
