The Sky-Watcher Startravel-120 AZ Pronto is a powerhouse in a compact package. With an impressive aperture of 120 mm, this refractor captures as much as 38% more light up than the 102 mm model. More light output and image quality
The Startravel-120 uses a high-quality air-spaced two-element achromatic lens. This design was specifically developed to suppress chromatic aberration more effectively than standard doublet lenses. With a fast aperture ratio of f/5 this is a true “Rich-Field” telescope:
- Deep-Sky Specialist: See the structure in the Orion Nebula, explore distant galaxies and see countless stars in open clusters such as the Pleiades.

The AZ Pronto mount
A large 120 mm tube needs a solid base. The new AZ Pronto mount offers this stability thanks to its deluxe, stainless steel tripod.
- Smooth operation: The flexible slow-motion cables on both axes let you center and track objects very precisely, even at the maximum useful magnification of 240x.
- Ease of use: The mount is intuitive and requires no complicated alignment. It is a true “put down and watch” system.
- Extra height: The included 21.5 cm extension tube ensures that you can comfortably view even when the telescope is pointed straight up (toward the zenith).
