The Skywatcher Dobson Telescope N 254\/1200 Pyrex Skyliner Classic DOB<\/strong> is a powerful Newton mirror telescope with excellent optical performance at a particularly favorable price. With its large 254 mm (10-inch) mirror and user-friendly Dobson mount, this telescope offers an impressive combination of brightness, contrast and simplicity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dobson telescopes are popular because of their practical and intuitive design<\/strong>: a fixed optical tube in a rotating wooden Rocker box. You move the telescope smoothly with one hand and can start observing immediately, without complicated alignment or electronic controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main mirror is made of Pyrex glass<\/strong>, a material with very low thermal expansion. As a result, the mirror retains its shape much better during cooling than standard BK7 glass, resulting in sharper images, especially during longer sessions. The parabolic mirror has excellent optical accuracy (\u03bb\/8 or better) and a Strehl value of at least 0.8, a guarantee of diffraction limit performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With his focal length of 1200 mm<\/strong> and an aperture ratio of f\/4,7<\/strong> the Skyliner-254 offers a bright, high-contrast image suitable for both planetary observations and deep-sky objects. Under dark skies, stars up to magnitude 13.8 become visible, and nebulae and galaxies already clearly show their structure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The robust Crayford focuser<\/strong> of 2\u2033 with ball bearing ensures accurate focusing without backlash. Thanks to the included 1.25\u2033 adapter, you can also use standard eyepieces. The 9\u00d750 viewfinder helps you easily detect fainter objects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The wooden Rocker box mount<\/strong> rotates smoothly in both azimuth and elevation directions and remains stable in any position. The integrated Tension Control System<\/strong> allows you to adjust the friction resistance, so you can tailor the movement exactly to your preference, smooth, but stable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
