The GSO Dobson telescope N 406\/1829 Truss DOB is a 16-inch light giant for advanced observers. With a 406-mm mirror, you'll capture enough light to see details in the faintest deep-sky objects. Spiral arms of galaxies, filaments in emission nebulae and countless stars in globular clusters become visible in a way that is simply not feasible with smaller telescopes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truss design makes transport surprisingly practical: You disassemble the tube in individual segments that fit in an ordinary car, without special tools. Once assembled, the sturdy rocker box is stable and the telescope moves smoothly in elevation and azimuth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The parabolic main mirror has a high-quality quartz coating with 94% reflectance and is supported by a fan that ensures rapid cooling. The Crayford focuser with 1:10 micro adjustment makes accurate focusing easy, even at the high magnifications this telescope allows. The adjustable friction brake on the elevation axis keeps the tube perfectly balanced, even with heavy eyepieces or accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
