Omegon Carbonline Zenith Mirror 90\u00b0 2 inch SC 99% dielectric is the premium upgrade for Schmidt-Cassegrain and Maksutov telescopes. With a reflectivity of 99% thanks to the dielectric multilayer coating, you hardly lose any light. That means images up to 10% are brighter than with a standard zenith mirror - faint deep-sky nebulae and subtle planetary details become more apparent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 90\u00b0 viewing angle makes observing comfortable even when objects are high in the sky. The rugged Carbonline finish combines an elegant carbon look with black anodized aluminum, making the construction lightweight but durable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This version features a SC screw joint<\/strong> and connects directly to the back of Schmidt-Cassegrains or Maksutovs without additional adapters. You can use both 2\u201d and 1.25\u201d eyepieces (with adapter). The compression ring keeps eyepieces firmly and scratch-free in place, even with heavy wide-angle eyepieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because the dielectric coating does not wear off like aluminum or silver coatings, this zenith mirror maintains the same high image quality for years - even with intensive cleaning and use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Application<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This zenith mirror is ideal for serious astronomical observations of the moon, planets and deep-sky objects. Not suitable for terrestrial observations because the image remains mirrored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
