This specific wavelength is responsible for the characteristic red light in emission nebulae and is the basis for much deep-sky astrophotography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This 2\u2033 filter is optimized for use with monochrome astro cameras or color cameras with narrowband sensitivity. Its extremely narrow transmission band (typically 7 nm or less) blocks virtually all light pollution.
