Artificial lighting is often the biggest enemy of detail in deep-sky observation. This filter addresses exactly that problem by effectively suppressing distracting light sources - such as sodium- and mercury-based street lights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unlike extremely narrow-band UHC or OIII filters, this filter allows a slightly wider portion of the spectrum to pass through. This keeps the image natural and bright, but significantly improves the contrast of emission nebulae, planetary nebulae and other diffuse objects. The filter allows transmission lines of H-beta and OIII light through, while filtering out unnecessary wavelengths.
